So, I am back to Japan! I am excited, exhausted, tired, sleepy, I miss my husband and child, I am thrilled for the amazing things I have to do in the next weeks: more important, I had to share a short Japan travel vlog to show you around Yokohama…
Mixed feeling I would say, as usual when I land in this country.
But I am happy, even because I am in Yokohama (Kanagawa prefecture), a city I’ve never been before, and I can’t wait to explore it. Now, since I am su tired I can’t even put a sentence together, I though I shared with you my first ever vlog (is this right?), my first day in Yokohama.
I think that, given its proximity to Tokyo, people often tend to forget about Yokohama, but in fact this is Japan’s second largest city with a population of over three million, and it’s a major commercial hub of the Greater Tokyo Area. Plus, it has a remarkable history: when commodor Perry arrived in front of Japan’s coasts with his huge American fleet, well, he arrived exactly here, in front of Yokohama. So, I think it’s time to discover again this city, its history and its attraction!
Of course, let me know what you think, if you ever visited this city and if there are specific places you recommend!
I’ll talk to you soon, as soon as I return to my normal self!
In the meantime, you can also enjoy my collection of Yokohama memories, with some of the places I loved most in the city, and a walk around Tokyo, in this quick vlog!
